Just three things to teach

I have just three things to teach: simplicity, patience, compassion.
These three are your greatest treasures.

Simple in actions and in thoughts, you return to the source of being.
Patient with both friends and enemies, you accord with the way things are.
Compassionate toward yourself, you reconcile all being in the world.

Lao Tzu

The sage embraces things

The sage embraces things.
Ordinary men discriminate amongst them and parade their discriminations before others.

So I say; those who discriminate, fail to see.

How to get rid of the mind

How to get rid of the mind?

Is it the mind that wants to kill itself?

The mind cannot kill itself. So your business is to find the real nature of the mind. Then you will know that there is no mind.
When the Self is sought, the mind is nowhere.

Abiding in the Self, one need not worry about the mind.

Ramana Maharshi

The true way

The true way goes over a rope which is not stretched at any great height but just above the ground.
It seems more designed to make people stumble than to be walked upon.

Franz Kafka

Computers are useless

Computers are useless.
They can only give you answers.

Pablo Picasso

Nothing wrong with duality

There is nothing wrong with duality as long as it does not create conflict.
Multiplicity and variety without strife is joy.

In pure consciousness there is light.
For warmth, contact is needed.

Above the unity of being is the union of love.

Love is the purpose of duality.

Nisargadatta Maharaj

The little task

Think not of the amount to be accomplished, the difficulties to be overcome, or the end to be attained, but set earnestly at the little task at your elbow, letting that be sufficient for the day.

Sir William Osler

Humanity is exalted

Humanity is exalted not because we are so far above other living creatures,
but because knowing them well elevates the very concept of life.

Edward O. Wilson

Your mission on earth

Here is a test whether your mission on earth is finished:

If you’re alive, it isn’t.
